Welland Heritage Council leaves the ZA Servers

The Welland Heritage Council and group websites have moved from the Zen Alliance Server to a new home on servers with IP Addresses from the United States. While it was nice to act as host for over a year the change will mark the return to the status quo.

New Development Partners

Recently the Niagara Falls Marriott has started using an open-source CMS and it has been a great accelerator for development. Their commitment to the environment is appreciated and it has been great working with a team of experienced designers and online outreach experts. This Autumn two new Drupal activations should go online followed by more if the metrics show positive results.

Server Updates for April 28th 2011

Server updates for the Zen Alliance Network and Aridaria system were completed with only minor obstacles on April 28th 2011. This marks the fifth major update in less than a year. Hardware, System, and Software updates have replaced every file and every circuit.

The rate of development is a real surprise, and without missing a beat. Performance enhancements and reduced energy consumption from the hardware upgrades. The new hardware is the first time I've used multi-core or 64-bit hardware in a server environment.

New Users - Welland Heritage Council and Group

Progress has been rapid with the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre, all of the websites have been migrated to the Zen Alliance Network. This means that the users will have access to training in much the same way that they provide it to newcomers, job seekers, and other local residents.
